why do i keep getting there was a problem parsing the package

Ok, so I'm back.

I have not been using this box (605A) 5.0.39 firmware for a year now. I have an android tv and an android box (4 gigs ram) that I have been using. Now, I want to use the 605 box in my bedroom for an hour a night.
The problem is I keep getting "there was a problem parsing the package" error when I try to install tivimate or smarters pro. My question is WHYYYYYY?

I have reset the box many times. Gave permissions. Enabled USB debugging. Downloaded correct version (armeabi-v7a version) from apk pure. tried from USB stick and from SD card. NOTHING. What am doing wrong?

Any help would be great.

As I remember I have checked tvimate apk and It worked.
Try to install another version of apk.

Not just tivimate, I can not install smarterspro or any app.

I have the same problem. I checked everything and all of the settings are true. Hovewer I can not install any apk via usb

I tried USB and SD disk and there is no way to install anything. No support either. That's why I never recommend this machine to anyone. Piece of crap.

I was finally able to install apps but I don't know why and how I did it! All I know is I installed firefox and logged in, went to apkpure and downloaded tivimate and didn't even install it. I plugged in an old USB stick with tivimate, smarterspro and google play apps and installed these apps. I was asked to give permission to file browser which I did and then I was able to install the apps without the stupid parsing error. Google play didn't work but the 2 others did.Now, I will sell this box and finish with it.

So do I found it. With external usb it is impossible. I had to move all apk files into Local/download folder. I was able to install finally
