Why check for updates every minute?

Why do i need check for updates every 24 hours? It is even possible to set it to every minutes, why?
Instead of these crazy values it should be much better if it was something like this:
Disable
Every day
Every week
Every month
Every 6 month

every time you boot in android or linux you have to update your Os and the adjustment comes back to zero and you lose all, really very disappointed
there's no need to turn off the shit update

I suppose it;s need for you could use latest version, and notice supported only cu current release.
