605 - remote control

Hello,

I ordered recently TVIP 605 from two separate re-sellers based in the Netherlands and both of the time the box came with a standard IR only remote control.

Does 605 still come with Bluetooth remote or did I just have my remotes replaced by the sellers? I returned the first box because of that but the second one is also like this.

Hi,

v605 should come with BT+IR control. Are you sure, that it was IR only? They basically look the same except "BT" letters at the corner.

Yes, I'm sure - there wasn't bt on neither of the remotes next to TVIP. I also tried pairing them with the box just in case, but that didn't work. Both remotes were (it appears) from the 4xx series.

A friend of mine has the 605 and he told me to be careful with it from the start - I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise.

I am in contact with the second supplier and they are looking for a solution.

If its not marked “BT”, I suppose you can request replacement from your seller.

I will have it replaced, even though it was a bit difficult to convince them.

According to them TVIP stopped supplying BT remotes because of bugs with connectivity and having to re-pair the remote after a reboot. Is that true?

That’s not true.
All v.605 are shipped with BT remotes.
There are not so much issues with them...

That's what I thought and that's exactly the experience my friend has with his bt remote - no issues with it for ~a year.
