Hi,
I have a S605 box and I have noticed that the box causes issue nowadays.
It was probably introduced with 4.1.x versions.
I have a Samsung TV and a Samsung soundbar.
Samsung soundbar is connected through HDMI (ARC) to my TV.
I control the sbox 605 through my Samsung TV remote, through HDMI-CEC as well as my soundbar.
This has been working flawless for 1 1/2 year.
The problem is the sbox breaks HDMI-CEC connection with my soundbar. I see that since I cannot increase/decrease volume on my soundbar. This appear after some time (10min-1hour).
No firmware updates have been made to either TV or soundbar.
Only when I disable the HDMI-CEC setting in the sbox, the problem disappear.
Please advise
HDMI-CEC broken in new versions?
Re: HDMI-CEC broken in new versions?
I believe we did not change any CEC code between 4.0.26 and 4.1.x...
Re: HDMI-CEC broken in new versions?
After deactivating HDMI-CEC on the box, no issues is seen between TV and soundbar. This for over three days now.
Otherwise, when HDMI-CEC was enabled on the box, it didn't take more than 1hour (often faster than that) to get the issue.
The issue is that TV can not control the soundbar.
I'm certain something has changed in the box.
I have tried different HDMI cables, settings, factory reset, firmware reinstall on both TV and Soundbar, but still same behavior.
Until I deactivated HDMI-CEC in the box.....
